How do I renew my certification?

Whether you’ve just earned your certification—or have been a certification holder for years—the steps are the same.

Earn the required amount of Professional Development Units (PDUs) to meet the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) for your certification.
Enter your PDUs in the online Continuing Certification Renewal System (CCRS).
Pay the renewal fee.
You will receive information by email with a link to pay your renewal fee when it is time for you to renew your certification. We recommend keeping your email address current inside your myPMI account dashboard. Please Note: The Certification Renewal Fee is independent of the PMI Membership Renewal Fee.
Once you’ve renewed your certification, take a break before you start planning for your next 3-year renewal cycle.
